ORION REEDEREI operates a fleet of modern grab-fitted sister supramaxes of the popular TESS 52 and TESS 58 design, which were all built by Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, as well as two ultramaxes of the I-Star 61 design, which were build by Imabari Zosen.

This future-orientated vessel type with very shallow draft is suitable for carrying a wide range of bulk cargoes such as coal, grain, ore, alumina, bauxite, mineral sand and various steels. Four large grab buckets on board each vessel ensure fully self-sufficient loading and discharging operations. The very high degree of flexibility these ships can offer, does make them ideal candidates for world-wide spot trading.
